This is a very intelligent boy, as shelties usually are. Now uses our pet door to the backyard (we have a fenced in yard). Does pretty good seeking the newspaper to potty in the house if he can't go outside (I lock the pet door at night or during a storm.) This boy responds enthusiastically to "Puppy puppy!" Fully weaned now from mama's milk and is eating Purina Puppy Chow. Loves to play with his dad. Seems to be daddy's favorite. When tired, he climbs up on my lap and cuddles. So definitely is going to be a good lapdog. Crate training started just in case new owners might need to cage dog when they are out of the house. A fenced yard would be great, he can do a cable run and is happy to watch over his home.
He was raised as a single pet and would do best living as one or would have to have supervised interactions with other pets, he is okay with some and not with others.

We are farmers and she's used to ducks, geese, chicken, goats, cows, and barn cats. Selling due to my husband lost his Blue Merle Sheltie last January, she would sit on his lap almost all day.
