"Tommy" 9 week old cuddly male sheltie born April 25, 2024. 1st of a litter of 3. Loves being held and petted, loves children, good with cats, very respectful of them. This is a very intelligent boy, as shelties usually are. Figured out how to use our pet door to the backyard last week (we have a fenced in yard). Does pretty good seeking the newspaper to potty in the house if he can't go outside (I lock the pet door at night or during a storm.) This boy responds enthusiastically to "Puppy puppy!" Fully weaned now from mama's milk and is eating Purina Puppy Chow. Both parents are show quality, as are his grandparents. Crate training started just in case his new owners might want him to sleep in a cage at night or when they leave the house. Crating is not a requirement of course, but I try to make the transition easier for the new owners.
