I have dogs doing well in detection and protection work.
Some go to farm and ranch work.

They will be wary of anyone they don't know, and they can still be a fierce guardian. That is the nature of the breed. Same as a lab wants to hunt ducks they want to guard.
Caucasian Ovcharka working dogs are fiercely loyal to those people or animals who are in it's flock.
They will protect everything they consider to be in their care.
