2 female guinea pigs

Mini/Micro Pig Animals for sale in Omaha, NE, USA. price: $200I'm currently looking for someone to adopt my two precious guinea pigs life has taken over a bit so unfortunately I'm not able to provide the quality attention they need to remain happy healthy pigs! Daisy(multi colored) is the oldest and definitely the dominant one between the two. Daisy is extremely loving she cuddles gives kisses and squeaks every time I get home! She's the adventurous one so ensuring she's confined in a safe space is essential during play time or your wires carpet and shoes will feel the effects of a loose daisy lol! Her favorite treats are bananas and strawberries. She was born February 2020 making her 2.5 years. She has suffered from an ear infection once in late 2021 I brought her into the vet and they gave me some prescribed eardrops for her and it hasn't been a problem since. However I do still have the medication if it were to arise again. She's pretty good with other pets so long as she feel protected by YOU and feels as if she has a way out of the situation. Her curiosity with other animals can sometimes cause issues as she will want to play smell kiss or even clean them and as I mentioned earlier she's dominant and not just with her little sister Maggie. She might try to give soft nibbles to assert dominance to you current or future pets this has never been an issue or caused ANY harm to any animals that have been introduced to her just something to be mindful of. (Most animals on the receiving end just act annoyed) However in the case that she's intimidated or overstimulated (either by people or animals) her neck and back hairs will spike up and she will start chattering her teeth. This is her warning sign that she's ready to bite and defend her personal space. Just giving her time and space is the way to ease her nerves; the way to her heart would be showing her love and giving her treats AFTER she's calmed down. Daisy is genuinely a sweet strong guinea pig that just wants love from everyone and to love on everyone as well! Maggie(black) is quite a different story than Daisy. I got Maggie in November of 2020 from Petco and she hadn't even made it in the the glass tanks yet so she had minimal human interaction prior to me. She was immediately fearful and any attempt I made to comfort her or tend to her needs was met with her jumping out of my hands running and hiding in an impossible spot for anyone to reach her. I eventually started tapping the cage as a signal to her that I wont grab her but she has to get back in her cage. (works about 80% of the time) She immediately adhered to Daisy's authority and definitely prefers it. Maggie is extremely guarded and shy she takes a lot of one on one time (with Daisy around) for her to not be terrified of you. Attempting for Maggie to bond with other animals is near impossible she just prefers to stay on the sidelines and dance around what Daisy is doing. Aside from her passive approach she is much like Daisy loving gentle playful but her squeaks are far more loud and consistent than her sisters! She also enjoys bananas and strawberries just the same. Maggie has suffered through a pretty intense fungal infection on her nose once around December of 2020. She lost all hair on the infected area to me it just looked like dry skin so I applied organic cocoa nut oil and within two weeks the infection was gone and hair was starting to grow back. She's fully recovered and it hasn't been an issue since! When Maggie is overstimulated or feeling threated she has a lot shorter fuse than Daisy she will squeak at the top of her lungs and stay absolutely still if she does have a way out. (ex: you grabbing her from her cage) She's a tough case because if Maggie would have it her way it would just be her and her big sister against the world! However to get her feeling comfortable with you we all know you cant just leave her alone. Slow consistent and positive interactions will eventually get her to trust you and not be so resistant! Both girls are NOT biters and if they do I can trust they gave a plethora of signals not to be touched or bothered with. Daisy does sometimes attempt a little more physical affection than what Maggie would prefer typically they break it up themselves but its never a bad a idea to help the situation as well! Don't be surprised if Daisy is the first to eat or drink this is why they have two bowls. I intentionally left only one water bottle so Maggie could practice some boundary setting with Daisy. These two CANNOT be split up. Maggie is Daisy's happiness and Daisy is Maggie's safe space. They truly have such an adorable dynamic and they deserve someone to give them the attention care love and personalized needs they each require on a DAILY basis. The girls will always let you know when they need food or water by squeaking and typically biting on their cage when they want to get out and play.
