3-16-24 Mom is taking very good care of me. I have opened my eyes. 3-25-24 I am out of my whelping box. Sometimes I sleep in a soft bed and others on the floor. I have had a partial bath and my nails are trimmed. I am walking. I have followed Mom out the doggie door but cannot get back in. Granny has to check us every two hours. I am tied this week as the largest. 4-1-24 I am tied for 2nd larget. I have cut 4 teeth. I run and play. 4-7-24 We are being weaned from Mom. Gorgeous German Shepherd / German Anatolian Puppies
German Anatolian puppies for sale to good furever homes. Born 12/7/2021, they will be ready to go to their new home within the next 2 weeks. They are weaned, dewormed, shots and final vet inspection is to be completed 2/2. They have been weaned on top of the line, breed appropriate puppy food with limited ingredients and as of 2/2/2022 are weighing an average of 15 lbs. each. The litter has 7 puppies, one is already sold for service dog training. 3 Females, 3 Males are available at this posting. Only available for adoption to qualified owners who are familiar with large breeds who want to make the commitment. Although this dog is considered a designer dog, it is not yet widely available. They require a firm hand and a consistent trainer, preferably one who has experience handling dogs of this size.
The Sire is highly intelligent, affectionate, calm, mellow and of moderate energy. Protective but not aggressive. The Dam is agile, high energy, protective and would have made a fantastic police dog or shutzhund competitor. Extremely intelligent and protective. Both are great with children and are well trained. Their disposition is why we decided to breed them to achieve 1 litter. They gave us exceptional puppies, showing high intelligence, receptive to training, gorgeous in features and very large sized. We would love to keep them all but instead are making sure they go to good homes.
About the breed: German Anatolian are a recognized hybrid Anatolian Shepherd and German Shepherd, very large breed with protection, loyal and family-oriented dispositions. German Anatolian Shepherds can trace their history past the Byzantine era. “These dogs have been bred by two parents that can trace their lineage and usefulness all over the world. The German Shepherds were developed in Europe in the late 1800s to act as herding and guarding animals over their flock. They have boundless energy bred into them. To understand the history of the Anatolian Shepherds, we must look to Turkey. Long before the country of Turkey was even established (some say 6,000 years ago!). As the times changed, they became a standard shepherd’s dog, wandering the hills of Turkey and protecting their flocks with their lives. They were crossed with similar dogs from this point to allow them to blend into the flock better and make them more effective protectors.” Please note: These beautiful creatures are NOT AKC.
Early socialization is more important than usual for this crossbreed. The German Anatolian Shepherd is a cross of two dogs well-known for being protective and territorial. They were bred to have these traits hundreds of years ago. In modern-day homes, this territorial behavior can come across as aggression and may not be useful anymore. If you want your German Anatolian Shepherd pup to get along well with other dogs or behave benignly when a neighbor comes over, training them through socialization as early in their lives as possible is essential. The German Anatolian is a large dog with independence bred into them. They are hybrid crosses of German Shepherds and Anatolian Shepherd dogs that are native to areas of Turkey. Both dogs were initially bred to act as herding and guard dogs, hence their size.
