"Fruity" is an extremely friendly and social female Sun Conure; for those not familiar, this is a small parrot that originate from South America. Fruity came from a local breeder and was hand-fed since small and never abused. She is intelligent and very affectionate with her main person, less friendly to others (typical of birds of this type). She is looking for help next few months or longer: perhaps a new part-time, or a new owner outright. To explain: I adore the bird, but I have a three year old child and at this age there are some understandable compatibility problems... I have been getting a lot of help from my parents but they will be traveling a lot now that they retired; an animal like this needs a lot of attention, they do not do well when stuck in a cage for weeks amongst people they don't know. She is intelligent and gets along with people all ages but, for obvious reasons I would be against a house with very small kids and of course with cats could be risky as she is not so big. Suns in general can be difficult, Fruity can be very loud (like a fire alarm) but she is absolutely sweet once she has warmed up to you. She is intelligent, loves company, loves to bathe and eats Bananas and fresh fruits. No we should not feed her sweets like in the pic, she grabbed that away from me momentarily and couldn't resist the photo op! I would really like to continue to be involved with Fruity's life either as an occasional bird sitter or as a shared owner. I care a lot about the bird and so finding a good home and knowing she is ok and happy is very important to me. thank you for your time and consideration, xxxxx.xxxxxx@xxxxx.xxx Andre
