Unlike many breeders who send puppies home at 6–8 weeks, I prefer keeping mine a little longer (4–6 months, sometimes up to a year). My small ranch is the perfect place to give them the best start in life. Born right in my log home (yes, my shower stall is their whelping bed!), they grow up surrounded by love and everyday life.

Here’s what makes them special:

* Raised around chickens, cows, and other dogs, so they’re well-socialized with animals.

* Free to run on 18 acres—outdoor loving but also well-behaved inside.

* Crate trained and, after 3 months or more, typically leave obedient and housebroken.

* Introduced early (from 3 weeks on) to children and adults through “puppy play dates” at busy community parks.
