This is Kurma, our beautiful red eared slider turtle. I first got her from my teacher in 4th grade when she was a new born, and now she is 9 years old. She is a rescue turtle, saved from people selling reptiles illegally. She is very lovable, and she is very responsive to sound. She loves to sunbath and walk around outside her tank. If you wish to adopt her, we will also give the tank (80 gallon) and a brand new filter we bought just a few months ago. The $100 price is just for the tank and filter, not for our turtle only. We loved having her, but it has been hard for us to care for her recently, and we want to find her a new home. Let us know, call xxx-xxx-xxxx if you are interested.
A Red Eared Slider Turtle is a common freshwater turtle known for its distinctive red markings near its ears. They are popular pets due to their friendly nature and relatively easy care requirements.
Kurma, our Red Eared Slider Turtle, is currently 9 years old. She has been a part of our family since she was a newborn.
The adoption includes an 80-gallon tank and a brand new filter. The adoption fee is $100 which covers the cost of the tank and filter, not the turtle alone.
We love having Kurma but it has become challenging to care for her as we manage other responsibilities. We want to ensure she finds a loving new home where she will be well taken care of.
Red Eared Slider Turtles can live with certain aquatic pets, but it's essential to monitor interactions closely. They should be housed separately from pets that may harm them.
Red Eared Slider Turtles are omnivorous and typically eat a mix of commercial turtle food, vegetables, and occasional protein sources like insects or fish.
