Listing Description
make / manufacturer: Rabbit
size / dimensions: 8 weeks
17 rabbits that are up for adoption through Lynden high school! They are not for meat, they are pets only. Although completely free there does need to be proof of proper housing for them. They also have never been to a vet so they have no shots. If you do not already own a rabbit it is required you take two as they will die if alone. Do remember this is the same as buying a dog or cat as they require attention, space, time, and can live over 9 years. Rabbits are also usually a bit spendy to get set up. These rabbits are hand trained, and most love cuddles, but they are not litter box trained. They are all great with kids but skittish around other animals. Although a few are ready for adoption now, some still have 4-8 weeks before they can be taken. Over all they are all very cute, healthy, and super fun!
Frequently Asked Questions about Adopting Baby Bunnies/Rabbits
What is the age of the bunnies being offered for adoption?
The bunnies are approximately 8 weeks old, making them perfect for adoption as they are still at a young and playful stage.
Can I adopt just one bunny?
No, it is required to adopt at least two rabbits as they are social animals and can become distressed if left alone. They thrive better with a companion.
Are the rabbits spayed/neutered or vaccinated?
These rabbits have never been to a vet, so they have not received any shots or spaying/neutering. New owners should consider these factors when planning for their care.
What kind of care do these rabbits need?
Just like any pet, rabbits require attention, proper housing, space, and time. They can live for over 9 years, so potential owners need to be prepared for a long-term commitment.
Are the rabbits trained?
These rabbits are hand trained and most enjoy cuddles. However, please note that they are not litter box trained, so you will need to spend time on their training.
How are the rabbits around children and other animals?
All rabbits are great with kids, but they may be skittish around other animals. It’s important to introduce them slowly to any other pets you may have.
When can I take the rabbits home?
While some rabbits are ready for adoption now, others may still require an additional 4-8 weeks before they can be taken to their new homes.
What should I provide as proof of proper housing?
Potential adopters need to provide proof of a suitable living environment for the rabbits. This includes adequate space and amenities suitable for their needs.
Are there any costs associated with adopting a rabbit?
The bunnies are available for free; however, adopting a rabbit can involve initial costs in terms of setup and care, so be sure to budget accordingly to give your new pets a happy and healthy life.
