Mom is a pure tan point blue merle Catahoula and Dad is a Standard chocolate parti Poodle-some people call this mix "Poo-houla" but we like "Catadoodles" better!!! Our babies have been loved and imprinted since birth. We also started housebreaking them at 3 weeks using "the Misty Method" which had them going into a designated area instead of their bed or play area, which took them one day to "get". They're now following mom when she goes out and most of them go in the grass (some can't wait and go on the patio-that's ok!!!). If they do go inside it's only in the potty area. Dewclaws have been removed and they got their first round of shots this week along with a thorough vet check-per our vet their next shots are due at 9 weeks and they should be in their own homes before that. Both parents are super smart and strongly devoted to their family. Also, as pure Catahoulas actually do not shed, with the Poodle dad the puppies should be non-shedders as well. We've looked at other puppy selling sites, and are not sure why breeders think it's ok to name your puppy for you. We also don't have professional pics of our puppies. We've labeled each puppy per his or her birth order. So here's a brief description of each puppy: #1-Mostly black male, with a bit of white, this adorable boy is a full 2 lbs heavier than his siblings. He's developing a curly coat and definitely looks the most Poodle of all of the pups. #2-Chocolate Merle female-she's the little bad-a** of the group and definitely an alpha female-adorable strutting around, bossing the other puppies around-but sweet and lovey when you pick her up. Has a very slightly wire coat. *SOLD* #3-Chocolate Merle male with a cool-looking half and half face-what a sweet little bear! He's second biggest, and likes cuddling and naps best. He's going to be such a great family dog with his loving nature and quiet personality! This guy already loves playing with water, too! He's getting a wirey coat as well. #4-Solid Chocolate female with some white markings-this is the only puppy with a smooth coat. This puppy is always first in line for cuddles and has a sweet, quiet demeanor-our vet's favorite "What a nice, little puppy"! #5-Blue Merle female, also with a half and half face-such a smart little puppy-she's been first on all of their milestones (like a week ahead)-we've called her the pick of the litter since week one!! She getting a slightly shaggy wire coat and cool Catahoula glass eyes! *SOLD* #6-Solid Chocolate male-Just like his Chocolate sister (#4) in personality. He's got a thicker coat that is slightly wirey. Lovey, lovey boy!!! #7-Blue Merle female-Definitely the runt of the litter, so she's little miss attitude until you pick her up and the kisses are non-stop. She's getting a wirey, shaggy coat and the Catahoula glass eyes. *SOLD* We've obviously spent a lot of time with these puppies, so they're all well-socialized and de-sensitized to loud noises and other "scary" puppy things. If you are unfamiliar with either breed, read up on them, but I've found a lot of material on Catahoulas is inaccurate, and since they're considered a rare breed I think the real breeders keep their "cards close" I guess so everyone won't want one-haha, but they really are special dogs. Our girl has been a joy-smartest and easiest to train of all of our dogs (and that's a lot!)!!! Neither breed-Poodles or Catahoulas do well left alone all day or being deprived of a big yard (walks alone won't cut it). If you're looking for a family member that you can take everywhere with you-these puppies will be a perfect fit! Pack mentality is the best training for these dogs. Also, these puppies will between 70 -90 lbs full grown. We all know how great Poodles are-their dad is in agility trials and won quite a few. As we have no experience with shipping puppies, we're only selling to people who are local or want to travel to come pick their baby up. We think our price is on point to weed out "puppy flippers"-hate to say that, but it's true!!
