Manchas is a male dog. He is a short-haired Border Collie mixed with an Australian Shepherd. He has white fur with some brown spots (he does shed a lot). He is microchipped & is registered as a Service Dog. Just turned 1-year of age on December 16, 2020. He has already been neutured. He is up-to-date on shots with the exception of his yearly rabies vaccine. I rescued Manchas when he was about 2 months of age (13 weeks) from a shelter with a very short life expectancy. He came from a cruelty case & had his right femur broken and a spinal nervous damage that didn't allow him to use his hind legs whatsoever. He was promised a very painful life and that it wouldn't be humane to keep him alive. After a few days, I kept going to different veterinarians to get different opinions and all thir responses were the same. Until, one night he simply decided to start giving his first steps... He is now walking, running & jumping everywhere without the need of having to go to any kind of therapy. Manchas is honestly a miracle baby. He is a super sweet & loving dog that absolutely LOVES attention. He enjoys playing with all kinds of toys (but plastic bottles are his favorite). It does take time for him to adjust to a new environment and new people. He can be food aggressive towards other animals but he has never bitten any human or animal ever. He has only eaten dog food and has never been given any type of "human" food. He is trained to pee on a pad or outside on the dirt/grass. He sleeps very well at night as well. His cage is his run-to escape whenever he feels scared and spends most of his day there even with the cage door wide open. That's his comfort zone. It's hard for him to go on walks because he gets really scared with loud noises & other cars. Manchas is the most loyal dog ever and it honestly hurts that I have to give him away. I recently moved out of my parent's house and I am living with a friend that is allergic to any kind of animal hair. I don't know anyone personally that could take care of him, I will NOT take him back to a shelter, so looking for a home for Manchas online is my last & only available option. I will give him to a good loving family that will be willing to be patient and give him the love & attention he needs and deserves.
