Listing Description
Keno is a 25 year DNA tested female Blue & Gold Macaw. She is a complete sweetheart, I adopted her after she started plucking and unfortunately she still is a plucker but HEALTHY. Once a bird starts plucking it is almost impossible to get them to stop and some feathers may never grow back because they can damage the follicles. She is good with older kids but not to great with younger ones. She loves to dance, wave, say hi/hello (that is about all she says) and loves to eat lol. I do take her to an Avian Certified Vet once a year, wish I could take her more (once we speak I will give you more information on her vet). The theory behind her plucking is that she was bored, because when she came to my work (I work at a bird farm where we sell baby birds, adopt out older birds, sell cages, toys, food and anything pet bird related) all she had in her cage when we received her was one VERY old and dusty/dirty toy. I love her VERY much and she means so much to me but lately I haven't had very much time to give her the attention she needs and deserves. She needs a bath once or twice a week like any other bird and 5-6 toys in her cage at all times (I can explain more of that once we speak). I want her to go to a loving home where she can get all the love and attention she deserves. She will come with some toys, perches and two large cages, one is a single Macaw cage and the other is a double Macaw cage (neither are in the best of shape, they were prior used/owned cages). $1200 cash only O.B.O and will have to meet her and make sure will be best fit. Please reasonable offers only!!!! WILL NOT SHIP Thank you!
