It is NOT contagious. As of 12 Apr, he is on a steroid and an antibiotic. He has a free follow-up visit (at Walmart VetIQ) in 1-2 weeks. He is very normal and is playing, sleeping, eating and pottying just fine. He really likes to be with people or our other dogs. They are purebred Silver Labrador Retrievers. We are using Native American names with this litter. Their parents are Daisy age 3 and Jaxson age 5. Both parents are from Muddy River Labs in Arkansas. They are from AKC registered parents but we have elected not to pay to register them because the prices would be double. Silver labs have the recessive gene color and are identified and registered as Chocolate Labrador Retrievers. The chocolates are a little more spirited than the black or yellow labs but just as smart and loyal. They love water mud and rain. They will play fetch with Chuck-It balls forever! They are very active chewers and it is worth investing in Nyla-bones and Kong dog toy products and similar. These are very active dogs and very people friendly. They wrestle and play hard with each other but melt when one-on-one with a person. They are very submissive with our other dogs. They are very good with children with a little training.
