Ozzie is a handsome 2 year old Doberman/Lab mix who is in need of a new home. He has dazzling amber eyes, a beautiful chestnut coat, he’s a tall and sturdy boy standing at about 28” at the shoulder and weighs approximately 80lbs. He’s a big sweet baby with people he knows, he gets along with other well-matched dogs, and he’s currently in professional training. Ozzie is a goofy, funny, playful dog, who would do anything for his people. Ozzie is also a very sensitive guy and was a pandemic puppy with first time dog owners so he didn’t get properly socialized and trained as a puppy. Which has resulted in him having some anxiety and behavioral issues that manifest in somewhat severe stranger-danger. He bonds strongly with his people and will bite if he feels someone is a threat to him or his loved ones. But he’s an absolute sweetheart once he knows someone and trusts them, and he’s being worked with by a professional trainer and a professional dog handler. He is a gorgeous dog, very smart, highly trainable, has been responding quite well in training and on walks and has been making progress in his behavior and confidence. He needs someone who is large breed experienced and with no children in the home. He needs a fair amount of exercise so if you have a good-sized yard to play in or like to take long walks, go for hikes, or need a running partner, and have experience with dog training, he’s your guy!
