I started buying dogs that long ago with the hope of finding a dog that is the perfect mix of family and hunting dog. Clover is a fantastic hunter and the absolute best family/house dog that I have ever experienced. Having known her grandmother (my sister’s dog) and her mother (my parents’ dog), I have seen her superb traits consistently passed down. So … I am seeking a puppy to carry on her legacy … and you can also benefit! Clover is extremely content and obedient in the home. (I have watched Clover walk by the kitchen garbage can after I have thrown meat scraps on the top of the garbage. She just looked up at me with the meat 7 inches from her nose to ask with her eyes what she should do. In that case, I told her no, but I have felt like a mean owner every since! This is just one example, of many regarding her obedience. However, in the field Clover will hunt non-stop and finds birds that other dogs can’t. She has a hunting drive and ability that once turned on by the scent of a bird flips her into hunting mode until she jumps back in the vehicle to head home. (Her father holds an AKC Senior Hunter title.) Jeep is fantastically obedient whether he is hunting or inside the house. (I witnessed him be obedient when Clover and he met, which was the ultimate test with her being in heat! The picture above is evidence!) Jeep has fantastic hunting credentials. His father is a Field Champion. His mother is a Senior Hunter. Jeep is a 500+ Point Honorary member of the Hunting Retriever Club, whose tests are approved by United Kennel Club (UKC), and he is a Master Hunter in the American Kennel Club (AKC). He is so compliant that his owner’s six-year-old grandson works him in training!
