~ Blue Harlequin Great Dane Adult Female Looking for Retirement Home~ ~ Located in: Louisville Kentucky ~ Optional Delivery Charge: $100 for every hour outside of Louisville, KY - Blue Harlequin - Female Samantha is a surrender we took in from another breeder. She has been with us for 2 months now. She is a beautiful blue harlequin female who is very sweet and dossal. Samantha is five years old and is looking for her retirement home. She is great with males and females, and children (ours are ages 10 and 7). She was retired after her last litter of puppies. She only had 2 in the litter but from my understanding had massive milk supply. The milk got infected and caused mastitis which stretched the skin of her teats. We spoke to our vet about possible teat removal and he is unfamiliar with the procedure and given her age, not comfortable removing them unless it was emergency necessary. They do not cause her current pain, however she has to be careful when she lays down. I have updated her yearly vaccines, and wormed her. We are not asking for a re-home or adoption fee we just want to find her a loving home that she can be retired and be loved and spoiled for the rest of her days. Samantha would need to be spayed if she’s going to a home with male dogs as she still has active heat cycles. She was raised around big and small dogs, cattle, horses and deer to my knowledge. I’ve asked about cat socialization and they state none.
