We took our then 6 year old granddaughter to the humane society to find a cat. Her Mother left & she wanted a cat to comfort her. She found Sammy, a one year old cat. He is a beautiful, friendly cat. When we got him set up at the house, he hid for two weeks. Sammy is very shy with new people but once he comes out of his shell, he only wants to be by you all the time. If you leave him for long periods of time, he gets into mischief. So Sammy needs a home with someone who works at home or is retired. He will open up cabinet doors and drawers. My son would come home & find his clothes on the floor. Sammy let him know that he did not like being left alone all day while he was at work & my granddaughter was at school. Fast forward two years later &a woman & her little dog moves in. Sammy is not happy & the woman does not take to Sammy. So my husband &I came to Sammy's rescue to try & find him a good home. He is at our house & we have him isolated in our laundry room & basement which is not fair to him. We have 5 dogs that do not like cats & for his safety, that is the only area our dogs do not have access to. Sammy misses being a part of the family & being able to have free roam in his own home. We try & spend time with him. Sammy will be 4 on August 13. He is strictly an indoor cat & never tries to go out. He is neutered but due for his annual vet visit & vaccination.
