Your new pup will be crate trained and fairly well housebroken when you go home. The rest depends on you and your consistency in maintaining this. \r\n\r\nThe Saint Shepherd temperament is a blend of the Saint Bernard\'s sweet, gentle nature and the German Shepherd\'s intelligence and drive.\r\nGentle, intelligent, and loyal dog with a natural protective instinct. Great family dogs that are easy to train due to their intelligence and eagerness to please, though their large size requires early and consistent training to manage their strength.\r\nRaised in the home with mom & dad. Early socialization with kids and adults. \r\n\r\nSerious inquiries only through messenger\r\n\r\nSome things to know about these Saint Shepherd puppies:\r\n*Large\r\n*Incredibly intelligent \r\n*Strong\r\n*Lots & lots of shedding\r\n*A strong handler is needed. Strong meaning the clear leader of their pack or they will take that roll\r\n*Great with kids-however, do not leave children unattended with dogs EVER as accidents happen.\r\n*Working breed and will need mental stimulation \r\n*Even with proper socialization and a strong handler, they may become very protective of their person/people/home.\r\n*They will have a mix of St Bernard stubbornness and German Shepherd desire to please.\r\n*Both parent breeds are prone to bloat. \r\n\r\nI have partnered with Logan Samarija @ Odin’s K9 Boarding and training.\r\nPuppy purchase will include the first 1 hour lesson, paid directly to Logan at the time of the lesson. Please contact Logan Samarija @ Odin’s K9 Boarding and training for additional information.\r\n***\r\n\r\nI would like to see all puppies in their new home by Thanksgiving, as this will ensure the best scenario for the puppies and their new families to have the best start to their lives together.\r\n\r\nPuppies will go home with a bag of the food that they have been eating.\r\n\r\nPuppies that stay with their litter after 8 to 9 weeks of age do not adjust as well to human social life, without adequate human contact. \r\nIt is best to have the puppy in its new home, learning from the new owner by 8 weeks.\r\nIf the puppy is older than that when moving to its new home, it can still do well if the breeder has spent a lot of time socializing away from their littermates.\r\nWhat is learned between 8-12 weeks will be with the puppy forever. The puppy needs walks and introductions to new people.\r\n\r\nPuppy returns will be considered on a case by case basis.\r\n\r\nNo refunds if a puppy is returned.
