Hello! Our names are Carine/Marry and Jake. we were thrown from an SUV which I chased, howling because I knew I had been abandoned. But then, some angels dropped down from heaven and went to heroic lengths to see that we landed in a soft spot. 1st, we received stitches to repair a large bite mark in our neck. Then, we where vaccinated and learned that we where heart worm positive. Life was throwing us 1 obstacle after another. Another kind soul stepped in to ensure I got the heart worm treatment we needed. And now, it’s time for us to write our profile! 1st we’d like to say, don’t be fooled by our snappy Jack Russell Terrier (JRT) exterior! I we are about 10 or 12weeks old… we can’t remember exactly... and love nothing more than to snuggle with you on the couch. Yes, we are a couch potato. we love to go for walks and love to bristle at the feral cats and other wildlife although we get along good with cats in the house. Despite the fact that we don’t have the crazy energy of your typical JRT, we are an alpha females. So, I prefer a home without other alpha females because, like Tom Petty, we won’t back down. we do get along nice with big dogs and the little Italian greyhounds in our foster home. Love, Clarice. The Jefferson Parish Animal rescue shelter adoption charge is $900. This fee includes at least all of our current vaccinations, spay surgery, heart worm treatment, and micro chip.
