Listing Description
A pair of Soloman Island Eclectus parrots. 7 and 10 years old. Both rescued from bad situations where they feather plucked. We have spent a year getting their feathers back to a place where we are comfortable rehoming them. Beaks and nails have recently been trimmed. Oldsmar flea market does it for free. The male had been housed with an amazon parrot and his toes were picked at and some are missing. They come with their 2 cages. They like being housed separate but outside of the cage they are fine together. The female (as notoriously known for the breed) isn't handlable all the time. She lets you know when she is ok to be held. The male is very sweet. They both mimick noises and the male says his name and also "meow" a lot. Prefer them to go together for $1400 but will separate for $1000 each. These birds have possibly another 40 years or so. So make sure you understand their needs and if applicable, a place for them to go if they will out live you. Experienced parrot owners preferred.
Text preferred over calls as we expect a lot of interest on these. We have a brand new baby and can't weed through serious people and people looking to flip these guys. Yes, the price is firm. Please don't waste our time with offers of $500 for the pair. See pictures, read this ad, think it over and then get in touch. Thank you!
