Hello I have a cute little cockatiel that I am needing to re-home because unfortunately my cat learned to open doors (yes really) and I keep my bird in the office since it’s the warmest room in the house and has glass dual glass pane doors. Even with the sturdiness of this cage my cat was somehow able to knock it over and I came home to the bird perched on my ceiling fan and my cat waiting and staring at her. I would rather my little birdie go to a home that is preferably cat free or to a home that doesn’t have a crazy cat that can open closed doors lol. The price is steep because cockatiels are VERY expensive and I paid close to $300 for this very nice cage. My birdie is still young and I’ve only had her for about a month so she is still needing some time to be hand tamed and be comfortable being held etc… the good news is that she does not bite literally ever even if I’m trying to chase her down just to hold her and hand tame her.
