12 Weeks Old Male And Female - Cocker Spaniel
ABOUT SALTYA¢A€A¦Salty is approximately 6 yrs old and weighs 28lbs. He came to us from Vancouver Animal services. He came into the shelter as a stray so no previous history was available however it was clear that he had been neglected and possibly mistreated as he has some trust issues with people. We have worked hard to build up his trust and get his medical issues under control. His skin was a mess and we feel it was related to food allergies as we have seen a big improvement with feeding him a hypo-allergenic diet. He has also been getting medicated baths and supplements to clear up his skin and bring it back to good health. Salty has dry eye in his right eye which will require drops in twice daily for the rest of his life.
Salty has blossomed into a terrific dog in such a short time. He is very loving now that he trusts me and super playful. He loves squeaky toys, bully sticks and his most favourite is playing fetch with a ball. He is going to need a special adopter who is kind, loving and patient, letting him come to them on his own terms and that will work on building up his trust in confidence in people. Salty will be placed in the Victoria, BC area ONLY! He has come so far and we want to set him up for continued success by working with his new adopters. He is a super dog with lots of potential!
