This pains me to type as I am the Dorothy and he is my Toto, neither of us are leaving OZ. Because of circumstantial change in the home My beautiful, sweet, and loving 3 year old shorthair black Chow Chow Zhan Shi needs to find a new home. This is not because of him (although he does have the typical chow chow traits), but for his safety and most importantly beyond that his happiness. While yes the breed is banned in the state, he is registered with the State Agriculture Department as a medical service dog, this restriction does not apply to him. The ideal home will be of course loving. Aloha is his love language :) Additionally a yard and an A/C or tradewinds and a fan. He loves and needs his daily walks, the beach, car rides anywhere, snuggling and affection. He responds better to females than males of the human and furry variety. This being the reason that there shouldn't be larger male dogs that have the guard dog mentality in the home. Chow experience is preferred, but some kind of large dog experience is a must for this 99% of the time well behaved boy. Its the 1% you have to be educated on. Of course if you have a girl chow chow he can make his everything (outside of you) that would be perfect to him. If you have any thoughts of fighting this precious soul, move along, he isn't the type and because of his extremely high sensing nature (and training) he will know when he meets you so it would just be a waste of time. He is also very defensive around people on hard drugs. Waikiki can be difficult on the streets unless you know how to handle with care. He is pure black, including his whole tongue of course, with the only white thing being his teeth. And Heaven help an intruder! Because this little ninja dog wont and hasnt hesitated to use those teeth to protect his Ohana. He is AKC with papers, microchipped, current on all vaccines and deworming. His annual physical is in September in which he will need his 3 year vaccine to stay current for State and Travel guidelines. He eats kibble however at dinner he is fed human grade food. This includes things like Beef, chicken, duck, lamb, or salmon with rice, veggies, eggs, nutritional herbs and spices, etc.) He has been fine to go without, but it does make his coat oh so lavish and seems to make him happier and healthier overall. He is intact and this can be discussed. Please feel free to contact me to see if you might be a good fit for this diamond in the rough fierce little lion who will always be your real live loving teddy bear. Mahalo for taking time to read and feel free to reach out with any questions. Pictures and videos have to be uploaded froma different device but feel free to ask, I have plenty :) Rehoming fee can be discussed when you call xxx-xxx-xxxx
