Meet Scooter (Scoot-Scoot), a beautiful chinchilla (male)- dark grey- approximately 2 years old. Only fed chinchilla food, hay, and plain cheerios. Loves to safely socialize and interact. Always begging for Cheerios! Can be held (by tail) and left to roam in small places- but not meant to be held and snuggled with (may overheat). Cage included- it's actually a parrot cage as chinchillas love to hop high, so the short, horizontal cages don't actually accommodate their wild side. We built the shelves and he loves to gnaw on them (we used the correct wood, so it's safe). (Dust) bath time is his favorite and it's so fun to watch! He should not eat anything other than what's listed (even if it says it's for chinchillas), watch the heat- marble slab/tile in cage would be perfect. Not a good gift for real little kids.
