His name is Whiskey. He is about 2 1/2 years old. He is a neutered male, having been neutered on 11/12/21. He has an active Banfield Vet Hospital account until September 2022. This means that he has certain discounts and certain visits are covered. This will continue to be paid until 9/2022. He is up to date on all shots and vaccines, and is not due for a Rabies booster until February 2022. He weighs about 70 lbs and is in great shape and comes with a clean bill of health. He CANNOT be rehomed with cats, as we unfortunately learned. His story: Whiskey was adopted by my sister and my brother-in-law when he was a puppy. He lived with them until the end of May 2021 when my sister passed away from cancer at 35 years old. My brother-in-law is active duty military and was widowed, left to care for my 2 year old nephew. We agreed to take Whiskey to help out the family; and things went well until about a month ago, when he bit our cat. We suspect it was meant to be playful, but the cat was permanently injured. He has NEVER bit a human or any other animal and we stress that we believe this to have been an accident. Since this happened, we have been unable to keep him in the home without constant supervision and without keeping both cats locked in the bedroom, which is unfair for them and for Whiskey. If the cats are roaming the house, it means Whiskey is stuck in our tiny backyard. Not great for a dog like him. We recognize this situation is not going to work for us and we want Whiskey to be happy. He's a great dog and needs someone who can give him lots of time, attention and exercise! Please do your research before thinking of taking this pupper home. We want to make sure he doesn't keep getting bounced around. :( He knows a series of tricks including: Sit, Stay, Heel, Back, Lie Down, Roll Over, Sit Pretty, High Five, Shake, Safe (Goes between your legs -a protective stance), Place (will go and sit on something you point to), Break, Free Dog and Give Hugs (when you tap your chest, he will hop up and hug you). He comes with: One K9 Ballistics Orthopedic Dog Bed with Gray Camo Cover that is embroidered with his name One cheap fuzzy bed from Petco Several toys (he enjoys soft toys but any toy has to be for "super chewers") Chuck It toys Chuck It football Half of a 33 lb bag of dog food (Purina Pro Plan) Dog crate Muzzle Dog Leash and Dog Vest from K9 Ballistics, also embroidered with his name Dog Shock Collar from SportDog Gentle Leader Leash Fi Dog Tracker (Requires subscription for full benefits, but still useful for tracking his steps) Prong Collar Burt's Bees Hotspot Spray
