On June 26 our beagles had a litter of 5 puppies. They are the cutest and sweetest little balls of fur. Sadly, we can't keep all of them. 7 dogs in the house is a bit much, even for us. We are putting 4 of them up for adoption. I want to find safe and loving homes for them. Homes in which they will become members of the family. These pups are well-socialized and love interacting with humans and being held. Beagles make great family home pets. Typical adoption fees at an animal shelter range from $130 to over $700. Both mom and dad of this litter are registered beagles purchased from different breeders for $2,000 each. We are not breeders, and this will be our first, last, and only litter. However, we are asking $250 to adopt our puppies. This only partially covers our vet bills for pre-birth x-rays, deworming, and their first and second rounds of vaccinations. The photos in the post were taken at age 6 weeks. The last two photos are of mom and dad together waiting for breakfast, and mom standing on the couch. At the time of placing this listing the puppies are 8 weeks and 3 days old. They are well on their way to being house-trained. They have had two deworming doses each, and we have an appointment for their second round of vaccinations on the day they become 10 weeks old. They can go to adoptive homes immediately, or wait for their second round of vaccinations. Potential adoptive parents are welcome to come by and visit the pups in person. If requested, we can provide additional photos or a short video. We are asking for a commitment from any adoptive family. If, at any time, you feel you can't keep the dog - bring him or her back to us. We would also like to stay in touch, as we've become attached to them and are interested in how they grow and fit into your family. Perhaps we can even reunite them for a short visit once in a while? Three of the four pups up for adoption are boys. Willing to meet at a neutral half-way point for adoptive families not in the xxxx area.
