Since I bought my first Basset I knew this was the breed for me. I started showing Bassets when I was 16 in obedience. When I graduated college I bought my first Show Basset and have continued this passion ever since. I take pride in every one and stand by my puppies. I love it. I have 1-2 litters a year. I am there when they are born to watch, help, and make sure everything goes well. I sleep in the same room for the first week so that I can hear them. I start socializing them with people and other animals around 4 weeks of age. I breed for pedigree and personality. I believe in breeding to improve the breed. Here are is some dogs winning and being cute.
