Listing Description
Meet Ruby, a beautiful 3 y/o pure-bred German Angora doe who has a sweet disposition and a lovely personality. She loves to run around and it would be beneficial if she would be able to have a little bit of acreage to run around in. In her showmanship career she won four ribbon before being removed due to her breed.
Ruby is a beautiful but high-maintenance animal. She must be shorn every 3 months and brushed every other day. She should be housed in her own room or in an outdoor enclosure. She loves greenery and letting her out a few hours a day when the sun is out would be ideal.
Ruby also comes with her spacious cage and her hay rack. New owner must purchase a new water bottle, a pet brush, and sewing scissors beforehand.
German Angoras are bred for wool production, meat, and their temperaments and hardiness. We used to let her run out in the snow and she'd be completely unscathed afterwards!
Due to the rarity of the breed as well as the size of the cage, we asking for $110, which will include her being trimmed before going to her new home as well as a new clean cage, trimmed nails, and dental cleaning.
We are looking for somebody who either has experience with the breed or has a passion for Angora rabbits. Ruby, due to her calm temperament and fast wool production, would make an excellent provider for fiber as well as a companion (she once gave me a 14 ounces of wool after one shearing). I am not selling her for a pet! Ruby is not spayed! I am not selling Ruby as a breeder, due to her age and health concerning breeding.
We live in Portland but are willing to go out farther with an appointment made beforehand. You can text me at ***
