Listing Description
The kittens are polydactyl and come from a calico American polydactyl. We do not have papers for them and have no way of getting the pedigree for the mother as she was a stray and we do not know her bloodline. We have had her for many years and her kittens are always polydactyl. Recently they have had some bobtail as well. At the moment the kittens are only 2 weeks old. This is a male polydactyl with 6 toes on his hind paws, which is rather uncommon. The extra toes usually are found on the front paws. At the moment he is the only one who has not found a home. Frequently Asked Questions about Polydactyl Kittens
What are Polydactyl Kittens?
Polydactyl Kittens are kittens that have extra toes on their paws. Typically, these extra toes are found on the front paws, but in some cases, like our male kitten, they can also appear on the hind paws. This trait is more commonly seen among certain breeds, such as the American Polydactyl.
Do the kittens come with papers?
Unfortunately, we do not have papers for the Polydactyl Kittens as their mother was a stray with an unknown pedigree. We have owned her for many years, and while her kittens are consistently polydactyl, we cannot trace their lineage.
What is the price for the Polydactyl Kittens?
The price for the Polydactyl Kittens is $300 (USD), which is common for kittens in our area.
How old are the kittens?
The Polydactyl Kittens are currently only 2 weeks old. They will need time to grow and develop before they are ready for adoption.
Is it normal for Polydactyl Kittens to be born with bobtail?
Yes, it is becoming more common to see some of the Polydactyl Kittens born with a bobtail. This is a rare trait, but it can occur in certain genetic lines.
How can I adopt a Polydactyl Kitten?
If you are interested in adopting the male Polydactyl Kitten who currently has not found a home, please reach out for further details. We would love to find this unique kitten a loving family.
