This is Chief. He's a3 year old American Foxhound. He's a hunter but also the most loving dog I've ever met. He wants to sleep in bed with you, cuddle next to you on the couch and follow you around the house. That being said he is a very high energy dog and I cannot keep up with his needs. He has to be able to run, walks are not sufficient enough for him. He needs his freedom back. My husband and I are expecting our first baby in October and my husband is also going to college and working full time. We moved for his job and it's landed us in a one bedroom apartment. Chief has had nothing but freedom since we rescued him. Open yard, no leash and now he can't get out of the city more than once or twice a month. With a newborn baby and my husband gone 90% of the time im scared the dog will end up on the back burner and thats not okay. Our circumstances have changed and sadly we need to do what's best for him. We love him so much but I know someone more suitable is out there. His favorite thing in the world is cats. Second favorite is kids. He's an independent dog but does very well with other dogs too. Cats really are his favorite though. He has to have particular food on a chicken free diet because his breed specializes in itchy skin. He has a crate, almost a full bag of food, his favorite rope, leash, hot spot spray and dishes. He is not fixed but has his 3 year rabies. I'm taking my time to find the right place for him and am going to be a little particular on what home he goes too. Located in Oshtemo.
