The Native American Indian Dog(R) is a rare, breed owned and utilized by Native Americans for thousands of years. They were the beast of burden for the Natives and hunted, fished, guarded and protected those in the villages. Today they are used as SAR dogs, handicap assist dogs, therapy dogs, and explosive device and drug detection dogs. They have no known health defects, live to be 14 to 19 yrs of age. They are totally non-dog aggressive, do well with farm animals and household pets and love children. They are Hypoallergenic! meaning they do not bother those who suffer from asthma or pet allergies. They shed once annually and do not possess a "doggy odor".
