Listing Description
We acquired Yukon in 2017 and were told his parents were a purebred Husky and Purebred Alaskan Malamute, which makes him an “Alusky”. He was energetic, but we took him through puppy training courses and socialized him at the dog park daily, which made a world of difference. He is house trained, and we’ve trained him not to sit on furniture and our area rug, due to his fur. He is not aggressive, has never bit anyone and is good with our 4-year-old, but his size is too much for him sometimes. Huskies are known for being escape artists, but Yukon doesn't even realize he could jump a 3-foot baby gate. He loves being outdoors and would thrive where he could spend 90% of his time outside (not in a crate), but he's used to sleeping inside at night. He loves crunching ice and ear scratches. He would love a dog to play with or older kids. My husband and I both work full time and realize we can’t give him the life and attention he really deserves. This is difficult, but we want him to thrive in the right home.
He’s neutered, up-to-date on all shots and is microchipped.
We will not just send him to any home; it needs to be a great fit for his needs and the reasons we’re willing to part with him.
